Probably no town in this area has moved farther and faster in the last few years than Sanborn. The updates of the lighting system, the laying of the new sidewalks have made Sanborn Main Street an enjoyable place to shop…and there is a segment of our residents who have done even more for the community with less notice – the merchants. (Listed and pictured were the construction progress on stores such as Sanborn Foods, Inc., Paradox Florists, Chatwell Bakery, Sanborn Savings Bank, Senior Citizens’ Apartments, and Sanborn Funeral Home).
The Girls League of the First Reformed Church enjoyed a tour of interesting places at Sioux Falls Wednesday.

Groundbreaking was held May 31 for the Cornerstone Orthodox Reformed Church in Sanborn.
June is designated as Dairy Month and an extensive news item was featured on our local AMPI plant in this issue.
The Toy Run sponsored by District 8 ABATE of Iowa was held last Saturday. Motorcyclists gathered in Sanborn for the start. The project provides toys for needy children at Christmas.
