Last week Tuesday Randy Brounko, formerly of Sanborn, moved from The Village at Sheldon to Prairie View Home at Sanborn.
The Tresslers reported treating 127 Trick or Treaters at their home Saturday evening.
David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD stopped Sunday to visit Sally Knowlton on their way home from Minneapolis where they had attended a musical. They brought food to enjoy with Sally. Barb Pry and Keith Rohrs also visited Sally Sunday.
Jeane and Harriet Van Veldhuizen and John, Donna and Kim Farrell went to Sibley Pizza Ranch on Wednesday evening to enjoy a meal with Dale and Marilyn DeBoer and their family: Roger and Teresa DeBoer of Boyden, Scarlett DeBoer of Ashton and Marianne Bartelson of Loveland, CO. Other relatives there were Gordon and Connie Zonnefeld of Sheldon, and friends of the De Boers, Ron and Phyllis Huizenga and daughter of Sibley. Many had also attended the memorial service for Dale’s sister, Linda DeBoer held at the George First Baptist Church on Wednesday morning.
Many Sanborn people attended the movie, “Spirit Riders” held at the Melvin First Reformed Church on Sunday evening.
Jeff Kroese and Mark Schnurr took their fathers, Pete Kroese and Ray Schnurr to Oakland Hills Golf Course at Bloomfield Hills, MI last Thursday for a weekend of golf with Jacob Kroese who is employed at the golf course. They enjoyed a weekend of golfing, eating, and watching HMS win their game Friday night via computer. They enjoyed reminiscing about golfing days in Sanborn. They returned home Sunday night.
Amy Suckow of Eden Prairie, MN came Friday to spend the weekend in the parental Jim and Becky Suckow home. It was Jim’s birthday anniversary. Additional Saturday supper guest was Don Hakeman and additional Sunday dinner guests were Don Hakeman and Jack and Carol Elgersma. Amy returned home on Sunday.
Last Thursday afternoon Corky Camarigg drove to Boyden to make the acquaintance of her new great-grandson, Winston, son of Ethan and Lexie Camarigg. Winston was born on October 19.
Family gathered at Connie Ginger’s home October 30 for a 16th Birthday party that Cristy Ginger hosted for her daughter Heather. A beautiful cake was made by her Aunt Tammy and decorated by her mother Cristy. Guests were Tammy Ginger, Haley Malenke, Tommy Ginger and Carter and puppy Bandit, Craig Ginger, Pam Prine and Kinsey Schirmer. The group also enjoyed around a hundred trick-or-treaters. Later, the younger group enjoyed walking through Haunted Houses in the area.
Linda Rozeboom enjoyed lunch out with Donna Olson at Sioux City last Friday.
