Hawk golf boys host quadrangular with Akron-Westfield, MMCRU and HLP
The uncooperative spring weather turned a boys golf triangular into a quadrangular and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn got one dual win out of the deal May 3 at Sanborn Golf and Country Club. The Hawks’ 191 total gave them a victory over Harris-Lake Park (196 strokes). Akron-Westfield and MMCRU totaled 159 and 186 strokes respectively to defeat the host team.
The Westerners, who are undefeated in War Eagle Conference dual play, supplied the top four golfers in the dual with HMS. Keith DeBoer turned in a round of 46 to finish second against the Royals and third in the HLP dual. Nick Bronstad shot a 47 to place third in the MMCRU dual and fourth versus the Wolves. Spencer McCarter also carded a 47 and was forth in the dual with the Royals.
