Despite a very windy day at Sanborn Golf and Country Club, the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn boys equaled their low score of the season with a 192. George-Little Rock did slightly better, winning the April 23 War Eagle Conference dual with a 185 total.
The medalist for the meet was the Hawks’ Jack Mastbergen. He toured the course in 44 strokes. The next three medals went to Mustang golfers. Spencer Spronk, Matt Helkenn and Micah Jumbeck all shot rounds of 45. Blake Meedering was the only other competitor to break 50. The HMS junior fired a 47 and was fifth.
Eli Mastbergen shot 50 on the nose and Aiden Bush was one stroke behind him with a 51. Kolby Douma carded a 56 and Talan Zearing a 62.
