Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn track and field girls scored 70 points to finish fifth out of the eight teams competing at the Wolverine Relays May 8 at Paullina. Host South O’Brien was the meet winner with a total of 120 points.
Runners-up for the Hawks were Ashley Tessum in the shot put and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Trinity Tovar, Thalia Rodriguez, Jamie Diaz and Jenna Hengeveld.
Keely Ebel was third in the 200 meter dash. Also placing third were the 4×200 relay of Payton Diehm, Keely Ebel, Kamryn Ebel and Pamela Mutombo and the distance medley relay with Ruby Overmire, Evelyn Steffen, Ava Vogt and Brooklyn Erickson.
